Каліфорнійська Wikimedia Foundation домагається заборони на використання бренду Wikipedia в Україні. Що відбувається?

News analysis of the Wikimedia Foundation's trademark claim against the Ukrainian NGO 'Wikipedia Ukraine'; the claim is not directed at the company. The article mentions 'Вікібізнес' (Wikibusiness) as another structure named in the claim, quotes its self-description as the only Wikipedia PR and reputation-management agency in Ukraine, and quotes Bohdan Dubylovskyi, identified as its commercial director, saying that they violate nothing. It is cited for that statement and role only: the dispute concerns the NGO, and its outcome was not found.

Wikibusines зробив ребрендинг: новий логотип, естетика вікінгів та глобальна експансія

National news-agency article on the company's November 2021 rebrand: one 's' dropped from 'Wikibusiness', a new logo with a bookmark, and the move to wikibusines.com. It quotes Roman Melnyk as co-founder and product director and Bohdan Dubylovskyi as co-founder and commercial director, which were their titles in 2021. The text relays statements by the company; plans it mentions are 2021 intentions, not results, and it gives no figures on clients or articles.

Ukrainian Wikipedians have published a book dedicated to Mask and Bandera

Wire-service report on the 6 September 2021 presentation of the anthology 'Zvyzdobolid' at the Interfax-Ukraine press centre. It names Bohdan Dubylovskyi and Roman Melnyk as the book's compilers and as the founders of the reputation-management agency (spelled 'WikiBusiness' in the English edition). It confirms the two people and the agency in 2021 and contains no figures, client names or service claims. It sits in Interfax-Ukraine's news section (press-conference), not in the sections the news agency uses for paid material.

People telling the world about cyborgs, war, and accurate history. How Ukrainians reclaim Wikipedia from Russians

Long-form profile of the Wikipatrol volunteer initiative. It identifies Roman Melnyk as a co-founder of Wikipatrol and of the agency (spelled 'Wikibusiness') and quotes him saying that the work is partly commercial and partly patriotic. Bohdan Dubylovskyi is not mentioned. The piece is not labelled as sponsored and says nothing about client work or results.

Інформаційна війна України та Росії у «Вікіпедії»: хто виграє?

Report by the Ukrainian service of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty on the Ukraine–Russia information war on Wikipedia. It names Roman Melnyk and Bohdan Dubylovskyi as the people behind the NGO 'Ukrainian Wikipedia' and the Wikipatrol Patreon page, and as founders of a commercial agency that promotes material on Wikipedia (the brand name is not used in the text). It relays Wikimedia Ukraine's position that their accounts are blocked in all language editions and that it does not support their activity, and the reply of Melnyk and Dubylovskyi that they had spoken publicly about their commercial activity. These are statements of the parties named; cite them with attribution.

Вікіпедія заблокувала організацію, що називає себе "Вікіпедія Україна"

Short item on Texty.org.ua that reprints the Wikimedia Ukraine statement of 24 July 2020 (original: blog.wikimedia.org.ua/2020/07/24/comment/). The statement says that Bohdan Dubylovskyi and Roman Melnyk are key figures of the commercial organisation 'Вікібізнес' (Wikibusiness) and that their accounts are banned in all language editions for paid-editing violations. This is an allegation by a third party, reproduced by a media outlet; it is not a Wikimedia Foundation document. The Foundation's own record is its Global Ban list (see the WMF Global Ban List item in this file).

Вікіпедія за гроші: як публікують статті на замовлення і що каже закон

Technology-news explainer on the market for commissioned Wikipedia articles, published on 9 July 2020. It lists 'Вікібізнес' (Wikibusiness) among Ukrainian services at $200–$420 depending on the package; these are 2020 prices, not current ones. The piece is critical of paid placement in general and carries no comment from the company. The headline has been revised since 2020, and the URL keeps the original wording.

Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Bodiadub

English-Wikipedia sockpuppet investigation case named after the account Bodiadub; it was still active on 2026-10-29 (last edit 2026-10-20, filings dated 2026-09-20 to 2026-10-20). Filers allege that groups of newly created accounts (one filing lists 73) share an operator, and volunteers block accounts as suspected socks on behavioural similarity while rejecting some hypotheses. The label is applied to a wide range of accounts, and the page does not by itself show that any account belongs to the company or its staff. Filings are volunteers' allegations, not decisions about the company.

The page describes itself as not necessarily factual or authoritative: it is a community record, not a Wikimedia Foundation finding.

Talk:Spam blacklist/Archives/2026-06 — Bulk spam additions (wikibusines.com and more)

Archived Meta-Wiki request to add wikibusines.com and wikibusiness.com.ua to the global spam blacklist, answered on 2026-06-23 with 'Added to Spam blacklist'. Effect: new links to those two domains cannot be added on Wikimedia projects; both entries were present in the current list on 2026-10-29, and wikibusines.net was not listed. This is a volunteer decision, not a Wikimedia Foundation statement.

WMF Global Ban Policy/List

The Wikimedia Foundation's official list of global bans imposed under its Global Ban Policy (Office actions); the page was last edited on 2026-10-14. It lists 'Bodiadub / Crazyalien, since 20 July 2020'. The list names accounts, not a company; third-party sources (Wikimedia Ukraine, via Texty; Meta-Wiki) attribute these two accounts to the company's co-founders.
