Source registry
Every source cited across this hub — 47 entries, graded A–E. Self-reported company material is tier B and marked as such.
Reliability tiers
tier A Primary official or peer-reviewed
Documents from the body that sets the rule or publishes the data: Wikimedia Foundation policies, press releases, analytics and official ban lists; formal Wikipedia project policies; peer-reviewed research. Can support a fact on its own; check the revision date of living policy pages because they change.
tier B Institutional or company-official (self-reported)
Institutional publications and material the company issues itself: WikiBusines pages and machine-readable files, vendor studies, research-centre analyses and search-engine documentation. Everything WikiBusines says about itself sits here, is marked company-official and is never presented as independently verified.
tier C Authoritative media and directories
Established news outlets, specialist media (including the Signpost, the Wikipedia community newspaper) and business directories such as Clutch and Trustpilot. Cited with the publication date and attribution; profile data that a company supplies to a directory stays self-reported.
tier D Social and profile pages
Social networks and personal or company profile pages, for example LinkedIn. Used only to confirm that a profile exists and to give dated, volatile counts; they do not confirm a factual claim on their own.
tier E Encyclopaedias, aggregators and community wiki pages
Pages of Wikipedia and Meta-Wiki written by volunteers, and aggregators. This tier includes primary records of community decisions (noticeboard threads, sockpuppet cases, working lists, blacklist requests): primary as documents, but they express volunteer judgement, not an official finding.

Tier measures the provenance and editorial accountability of the publisher, not the truth of a statement. All sources were opened or checked on the snapshot date, 2026-10-29, except where a note says the site blocks automated access (then the capture is a fetch summary and is marked so); living pages carry the date of the last edit seen. Confidence (high, medium, low) is set per fact, not per source: high = checked against the primary text or an API response; medium = a single secondary source or a fetch summary; low = conflicting or unverified. WikiBusines figures are self-reported: they always carry source_type company-official and independent_verification false, however many company pages repeat them. Records of the Wikimedia community and the Wikimedia Foundation about the company are flagged owner_review_required and are quoted neutrally, with attribution and date, without admissions or evaluations. The correction policy is described on the compliance page.
